  • Where Can I Site My Static Caravan?

Have you recently bought a static caravan?

    We’re jealous.

Are you wondering where to site it?

The world (well, the UK) is your oyster.

When it comes to siting a static caravan, you won’t find yourself short of choice, and Parklink is the perfect place to start your search.

With us helping and all of your options in one place, you’ll have found the perfect location for your holiday home in no time.

Fancy Siting Your Caravan in a Static Caravan Park?

As the name suggests, you can site your caravan in a static caravan park, and it’s the route a lot of caravan owners take.

These parks are designed for static caravans, meaning they have everything you’ll need to get the most out of your holiday home.

The pitch, utilities and services are all set up and waiting for you, and you can use everything from the moment you pull up.

Finding a park that will accept your existing caravan can be difficult – not to mention costly, time-consuming and stressful to organise – which is why most buyers choose a caravan that’s already on the holiday park they’ve chosen.

    How Does Part Exchange Work?

If you already own a static caravan but you fancy a change, part exchange could be your best bet.

You might have enjoyed everything you can in your current static caravan, and you want to try something new.

Perhaps you initially wanted a small and compact caravan, but now you need more space.

Maybe the static caravan has suffered wear and tear over the years, and it doesn’t quite offer what it used to.

Whatever your reasons for wanting to upgrade your static caravan, part exchange could help.

It allows you to upgrade your static caravan, without having to say goodbye to your holiday park.

You can sit back and relax, and let the park handle the removal and sale of your existing holiday home.

How Do Static Caravan “Bring On” Services Work?

Some static caravan parks offer a bring on service, which allows you to site your own caravan on their premises.

Parks are more likely to accept this arrangement when they have spare pitches available, as it generates additional income for them, and they’re not going to say no to that.

You can take your existing static caravan, have it placed on your chosen holiday park, and enjoy a change of scenery.

Take Matters Into Your Own Hands: Site a Caravan on Your Own Land

You could decide to site a static caravan on your own land, either land that you already own, or you could buy land specifically for that use.

This gives you complete control – you can choose the specific area, even the direction the caravan faces – whilst also offering flexibility and cost-effectiveness.

But, don’t rush into buying the first piece of land you see.

If you want a smooth process and to avoid any unnecessary stress, be sure to:

    • Check planning permissions and local regulations
    • Confirm that siting a static caravan is allowed
    • Consider access routes for delivery and services
    • Research utility connections and costs

Looking for the Easiest Place to Site a Caravan?

If you haven’t purchased your static caravan yet, consider buying one that’s already in a park.

If you ask us, it’s one of the easiest ways to site your caravan in a holiday park that you love, without having to deal with the stress that comes with moving an existing caravan somewhere new.

You don’t have to worry about finding somewhere to site a caravan, as it’s already there waiting for you, and you can focus on enjoying your new holiday home straight away.

From the second the buying process is complete, the caravan is yours to enjoy.

    There’s no complex logistics.

Where Will You Site Your Static Caravan?

There are various places to sit a caravan and each option has its benefits.

But, that doesn’t mean they’re all going to work for you.

The right choice depends on your budget, location preferences and holiday plans.

Whether you choose a bustling holiday park or the privacy of your own land, the perfect spot for your static caravan is out there waiting for you.

FAQs: Where Can I Site My Static Caravan?

No, you can’t put your caravan just anywhere and hope no one notices. That’s not how it works. You need to choose a holiday park or private land, but only were planning permission allows.

Your best bet is probably a holiday park, and that’s what the majority of owners do. Some holiday parks let you bring a caravan from another park, but they tend to prefer if you buy a static caravan that’s already sited with them. It’s also easier for you.

No, that’s not usually an option. Haven parks rarely accept caravans bought elsewhere. They want you to buy a mobile home that’s already sited with them. If you want a caravan on a Haven site, you usually need to buy it from Haven.

Most parks don’t accept caravans over 15 years old, though some extend the rule to 20 years, if you’re lucky. This keeps the caravan site standards high and makes sure units are safe and insurable.
