First, let’s talk about the golf course. This 9-hole course is just a short walk away from the doorsteps of the holiday lodges. Allerthorpe offers professional golfing lessons to the park’s residents – run through the fantastic Macs Eagle Golf, whose teachers are European Golf Teachers Federation qualified. Lesson prices are affordable, and all instructors are extremely professional and friendly. You’ll be playing better in no time at all!
Allerthorpe is surrounded by reaching fields and woodland, making the whole area feel safe and secluded from the rest of the outside world. Allerthorpe woods is a luscious area of natural woodland, filled with tall trees and paths to walk on. There are areas within the woods that are perfect for a picnic, but the deeper into the woods you go, the more local insects you’ll come across. There’s plenty of life hiding in this nature reserve.

Yes, Allethorpe has its own pub which runs under the name “JJs Bar & Grill @ The Pheasant”. This award-winning allerthorpe pub has a great menu, filled with cuisine from around the world. Allerthorpe Park
Just 7 minutes from allerthorpe park, the Burnby Hall Gardens hold beautifully looked after gardens and a historical museum that is dedicated to the travels of Major Percy Stewart. Stewart travelled the world several times throughout his life, often accompanied by Katharine, his wife. The gardens in the facility are varied and include many kinds of flowers and wildlife that call Burnby Hall their home.
The Yorkshire Air Museum is a little over 15 minutes away from Allethorpe Park. The museum is almost entirely interactive and provides a great learning experience for kids and adults of all ages. There’s even a Halifax bomber on display, which has been fully refurbished to its former glory.

Allerthorpe Triathlon & Sailing activities
Allethorpe hosts several events throughout the year, often working with charities to fundraise as well as organisations to create something truly special.
One such event is the Allethorpe Triathlon, which runs several times with different variations on the length of swimming, cycling, and running.
